He was born in 1959 in Nyíregyháza. He graduated in 1983 from the Teacher Training College in Nyíregyháza, his master was András Berecz. Between 1983-1986 he trained himself at the University of Fine Arts under the leadership of Károly Klimó. He studied in 1988 at the Akademie für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna.
